The Pleiades
Tribe of Ben-Adam
During the initial days of the Twilight Convergence, the defacto leader of the Last Council is said to have been at odds with the other council members. Years later, it was revealed that his resignation holo-cast was a fake. When several conspiracy theories arose regarding whether Ben-Adam was even alive anymore, he returned with a proposal. “All those who believe in the Forefather, join me in Paradise.” The mass exodus the followed him north tore apart families who no longer believed in each other but in the words of Ben-Adam. While that was a long time ago, rumors still circulate about a colony in the northern desolate parts of the planet yet no one who goes in search of the Tribe ever comes back.
EnRow
Even in the darkest sol cycles called days, there was always light for those who believed. The monolith corporation of EnRow had singularly strived to find a solution for the energy crisis and every other crisis that broke out since the Twilight Convergence. Their visionary leader was the brightest minds of that time, and following the path laid out, survival was ensured. Such are the lies propagated by the monopoly creating society killer that was EnRow. Yet, no one would ever see those lies as EnRow controlled all forms of information that was passed on. Considered the right hand of the Council, some do wonder if it really is not the other way around.
Councilors
Little is known about the Council of Pleiades yet one certainty is that they project only one vision. To be eternal. Their appearance of immortality and their veil of being untouchable is attributed solely to the Councilors, a guardian body of masked individuals. The Original Council of The Seven (known now as the Last Council) discovered the masks on their planet and sought the assistance of the greatest minds of their generation to find a solution to their inevitable extinction. Needless to say, they are no longer extinct. Needless to say, they do not intend to ever be in such a position ever again. No matter the cost.Every mask was made with the intention of possessing the wearer with the power and the foresight to lead the first people. However, only fourteen would succeed in this. The chieftain mask was made to give someone one the foresight to lead the first people after the craftsman passed on. Honest, just, and fair, any who wore the mask of the chieftain would be fit to rule over a people. Fifteen masks were tainted by the craftsman’s fear of death. So powerful were these masks, that those who adorned the masks of doom became monsters and tyrants capable of destruction of a wide scale. The thought of death brought forth the ugliest emotions in the craftsman, and in that desperate torment of emotions, dark energy seeped into these masks. The Craftsman looked at these masks in horror, not knowing which ones were tainted and those that were not. He feared that in trying to save his people, he had doomed them with masks too powerful for mortal kind.
Children of Bliss
The Twilight Convergence was what the masses called the first discovery of masks on their world. Many frightened beings sought refuge in the good old days of the past. Their survival was at stake when the foremost authority on biological and medical advancements broke away from their position as advisor to the Last Council. When they reemerged from the shadows of despair, the had hope and Bliss to offer. Since then, the numbers of the Children of Bliss have grown and a vast populace live in the stupor of Bliss. They can afford to do so thanks to their enforcers. These masked are regarded as angels for the Children, and angels will do anything to continue to be revered.
Caper
A rogue outfit of vigilantes broke out of the largest and only incarceration facility for dissidents. While the reasons why one was incarcerated might be lost to time when the records rooms were set on fire, the conviction of the Capers is singular. Freedom by any other name is never accepted by the authorities. When they were offered the power of the masks from one of them from within, they all seized the opportunity to reign over their brand of justice on the small surviving few settlements. They seem to be organized yet no discernable leadership has been identified or eliminated by any other the other factions. The Craftsman looked at these masks in horror, not knowing which ones were tainted and those that were not. He feared that in trying to save his people, he had doomed them with masks too powerful for mortal kind. What was worse was that he couldn’t tell anymore. Death made his senses untrustworthy. With his life coming to an end, he scattered the masks across the world. He hoped that the first people would uncover the ones that would help them survive without their creator.
